Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Bashing the Ivories. DESCRIPTION: Riot in New Jersey. Students from Rutgers University who look as though they’re repeating that Little Rock business. The keyboard is the key to the latest campus craze - piano wrecking, conducted by members of a Reduction Study Group. Every piece must be small enough to go through a hole less than eight inches across. It all started at the Derby College of Technology in England, so maybe it’s our fault. SHOTLIST: Key scene. MS students from Rutgers University on back of car. MS students off car. Students with piano (2 shots). CU sign, students smash piano up (3 shots). GV crowds shouting, students smash piano up (2 shots). GV students on roof, students stick pieces of smashed piano through hole (2 shots). MS students cheering.
