Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Tell It to the Marines!. DESCRIPTION: Six-year-old Paul Tarry wanted to be a Marine, so they invited him along to the Royal Marine Depot at Deal. When the marines heard about his obsession to wear one of their white caps, and his ambition to join them when he’s old enough, they laid on a parade. Paul’s ambition springs from a family tradition. His great, great, great grandfather was with the Corps at the Battle of Trafalgar. Paul must wait eight years before he can join as a junior. SHOTLIST: Key scene.
