Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: World Champs on Ice. DESCRIPTION: The World and British Professional Championships took place at Wembley, watched by a vast crowd. John and Diana Hulme of Great Britain were the winners of the Pairs Championship, and the Ladies Title for the second year running went to 20 year old Jacqueline Harbord, who skated to success in spite of a strained right leg. Martin Minshull of Brighton regained the men’s world title he has last won 4 years ago, putting the 1963 champion of Great Britain and the world Michael Carrington into second place.
