MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: News Events in Colour - Jousting Tournament. DESCRIPTION: In Montacute a jousting tournament was held with all the medieval chivalry of olden times. The Esquires and attendants bear forward the great jousting lances - each the length of three men. Sturdy horses and brave Knights in a conflict as old as that time. SHOTLIST: Key scene - News Events in Colour. LA Montacute House. GV group in historic costumes and pan to riders. MS knights on horseback. MCU people in costume. Flags (3 shots). CU knight lowers helmet visor. GV 4 knights on horseback. GV knights enter arena. MCU knight. GV ‘jesters’ on donkeys. MS knight advances on horseback. MS jousting lances being carried. GV ‘nobles’. MS zoom out as 2 knights advance. MCU knight. MS knights receive ribbons and zoom out as knights ride away. CU spectators. CU knight. GV knights on horseback charge. MS nobles cheer.
