- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Two Derbys for Santa. DESCRIPTION: Pictures show the Irish Sweeps Derby at the Curragh, worth over fifty three thousand pounds to the winner. There were nineteen runners, and the favourite - this year’s Epsom Derby winner, Santa Claus at a hundred to eight. He was ridden by Irish jockey Billy Burke, who rode him to victory once again.
