Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: No Hawkers. DESCRIPTION: Well known British Falconer, Phillip Glasier, is running a Falconry School at Newent in Gloucestershire, to teach a skill that can be traced back four thousand years. SHOTLIST: LS pan small falcon called Merlin flies toward lure at school at Newent in Gloucestershire. CU falcon. CU the schoolmaster of college Mr Phillip Glasier. MS Mr Glasier takes falcon off perch. CU one of pupils Mr Andrew White. MS Mr Glasier and Mr White with another pupil Mr Keith Maycock. CU Mr Maycock. CU Mr Glasier picks up hood worn by falcon when hunting. MS ditto. CU hood. MS group walk towards falcon sitting on perch. CU falcon on perch. CU Mr Glasier holding falcon pan as he ties falconist’s knot. CU piece of raw beef in hand of one of pupils. MS girl pupil inducing falcon to come to her wrist for piece of beef. CU ditto. MCU ditto. MS pupils holding falcons, pan falcon flying free, catches lure held by Mr Glasier, pan as falcon flies to ground on end of lure. MS pupils watching, pan as falcon flies overhead and attempts to catch end of lure. Pan as falcon catches end of lure. MS as Mr Glasier picks falcon up out of grass. MCU Mr Glasier holding falcon.
