Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Medieval Soccer. DESCRIPTION: Round about the same period, the young men of Florence devised a game which bears a vague resemblance to Association Football. It’s Florentine, or medieval soccer, but there’s been nothing like it in the World Cup series. SHOTLIST: GV crowd around pitch in public square. Angle shot (medieval) building with flag. GV 4 shots cars in car park. TV men waving large banner in opening parade. SV ditto toss banners in the air. CU tracking shot of trumpeters. TV (medieval) procession marches around pitch.
