- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Postal Deliveries. DESCRIPTION: Amid the continuing chaos of the postal strike, one Sussex town is delivered. Six of Uckfield’s postmen ignore the strike and continue their local rounds. They’re the carry-on postmen. SHOTLIST: SV postman Eric Hartup down garden path to deliver letter. SV ditto down path. GV Uckfield Post Office. SV interior postman Albert Clark at stamp cancelling machine. SV machine. SV postman Reg Bachelor sorts mail into pigeon holes. SV letters into pigeon holes. SV etc. 2 postmen leave office on round - David Siggs (left). Charles Sergeant (right). CU Charles Sergeant. CU David Siggs. SV postmen part for their rounds. SV Postman Hartup carries mail in basket to van. CU van drives away. LV van leaves PO for rounds. CU sign Uckfield. SV Hartup on rounds. CU Hartup delivers letters to house in country.
