Film too from Movietone’s archives of King George the Fifth opening the original tunnel in 1934. SHOTLIST: GV across Mersey River. GV guard of honour in front of tunnel entrance. SV pan Queen walks to dais accompanied by officer. SV guard of honour. MS Queen on dais pushes button to unveil tunnel. SV pan curtains open on tunnel. GV ditto & entrance to tunnel.
