MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Royal Highland Show - in Colour. DESCRIPTION: Scotland’s Royal Highland Show....voted the best ever since it took up permanent residence at Ingliston, near Edinburgh. Prince Philip is there to open the Show and inspect some of the latest in farm machinery. SHOTLIST: GV pan Royal Highland Show. LV various cattle on show in arena. SV champion Aberdeen cow. CU farmer type. LV show horses - mares with riders. SV Highland pony - pan to foal. LV horse being led past judge. CU horse past judge. CU farmer types. SV Duke of Edinburgh being greeted by VIPs. CU Duke smiling. SV pan interior girls on the Scottish cheese stand. LV Duke takes sample of Scottish cheddar & eats. GV Highland show & farm equipment. SV Duke watching a potato tipper designed by Mr Sloan. CU potato tipper - pan to Duke watching. CU Mr Sloan who is sitting in his electric tricycle. SV Duke talking to Mr Sloan. SV Sloan sitting in his electric tricycle. LV Duke looking at the mechanoid tractor. CU Duke looking, he steps back & asks for demonstration. LV man drives off in tractor. CU wheel of tractor moving - pan up to driver, he stops and demonstrates the reversible driver’s seat for travelling in either direction. LV Duke of Edinburgh and party watching.
