MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Sterile Nursing Unit. DESCRIPTION: The most advanced British built portable sterile nursing unit - built by scientists at the Harwell Atomic Energy Research Establishment. SHOTLIST: GV interior nurse walking towards new advanced Portable Sterile Nursing Unit. SV automatic sliding door opening, nurse enters, closes door by foot switch, she walks over to woman patient in bed in individual cubicle, nurse picks up thermometer. CU nurse shaking thermometer. SV nurse puts it in patient’s mouth. SV another cubicle in unit and door opens. CU nurse’s covered shoes as she enters and puts her foot on foot switch to close door. LV nurse fitting oxygen mask on male patient in bed. SV nurse picks up plastic tubing which is connected to oxygen mask and places the end of the tube into hole in partition. CU as she pushes tubing through hole, pan up to nurse receiving tubing on other side. LV doctor checking instruments and graphs on panel. CU graph. LV nurse talking to patient through partition. GV woman patient in bed talking to other patients in ward showing that patient in unit is not isolated from others in wards. CU woman patient talking to male patient in ward. SV male patient sitting up in bed in ward talking back to women in unit. LV pan showing complete sterile nursing unit.
