MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Formula III Racing. DESCRIPTION: At the Lydden Circuit in Kent, drivers take part in the Formula III Motor Race - won by David Purley in an Ensign LN2. SHOTLIST: CU stacked up tyres, pan up to GV pits. CU engine pan up to mechanics adjusting it. CU pull back engine. GV starting line with crowd of people standing round, man holding up placard 2 minutes. CU name on car Roger Williamson, pan up to driver sitting in car. CU No 17 on car, pan up to driver Alan Jones. CU No 20 on car, pan up and pull back to driver, David Purley. CU No 7 on bonnet. MS driver car No 7 Tom Pryce. CU Alan Jones pan round to engine of car. GV start of race, pan round to BV as they go down straight. GV cars round bend and along straight. MS official with flag at side of track watching cars past, cars round bend, pull back and pan round to BV as they go round another bend, car 17 followed by 16, 22, 23, 20. MLS car No 16 followed by 20, 17, 8, toward camera. MS cars round bend, 1, 2, 6, 7, go round together, followed by 4 & 5, MS 4 officials standing by edge of circuit. LS cars past. MS car No 20 as it passes No 16, pan to BV as they go round bend. MLS cars round bend No 1, 2, 6, 7 & 4. MS cars round bend No 5, 4, 9, zoom back GV crowds watching car past. GV crowd watching as 4 cars come round bend. LS car No 2 winner Purley along straight and into bend. MS No 20 coasts up to official on finishing line. MS officials applauding. MCU Purley being presented with cup, he walks away, waves and holds up cup.
