Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Baby Swimmers. DESCRIPTION: In France, they believe in teaching ‘em young. Babies are taught to swim under water. Generally the swimming lessons are to teach all children to have complete confidence in themselves when in the water and not to panic. Fear is the biggest problem. SHOTLIST: GV swimming pool. MS children climbing into swimming pool down steps. CU young girl in water holding onto side of pool. CU woman instructor. MLS man holding pole encouraging kids to jump in & catch pole, girl jumps in at 20’. MS 2 girls on edge of pool, 1 about to jump in looking worried, she jumps holding instructor’s pole & and is pulled to the side. MS instructor bending down at end of pool. MS girls at edge of pool, 1 about to jump in, hesitates, looking worried, she jumps, grabs pole, she is pulled to side where she clings to pole. MS 2 women with babies in pool. MCU 2 women swimming with babies on their backs, they dive underwater & come up again. MS man with baby on his back dives underwater (underwater shot). MS man swimming under water with baby. MS woman swimming under water with baby, she passes baby to man who swims to surface. MLS towards man dives under water with baby on his back and swims around. MCU woman playing with baby in water. MS babies running around at edge of pool. MS baby with Ludovic on his back running along edge of pool.
