Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Balloon Ride. DESCRIPTION: Film Director, Georg Theiss and Bavarian co-pilot Rainer Breu make a record balloon flight over the Bavarian Alps. SHOTLIST: SV Georg Thiess and Rainer Breu in basket of balloon ready for take off, one of them drops a sandbag & balloon goes up. Aerial shot from balloon of ground. LV balloon in air. SV from balloon of balloon & basket ropes. GV ground below & sand being emptied. SV pan two pilots. LV spotter plane flying past. Aerial shot Alps mountains and clouds from plane, ditto with balloon flying over pan down to clouds and mountain peaks. SV pilot of balloon making notes. GV mountains & alps, GC from plane of balloon pan LV pan from balloon of plane. LV from plane of balloon, aerial shot mountains, balloon coming into shot losing altitude. BV pilots of plane. Tracking shot as plane flies past of balloon, crashes in trees of a 80 degree stiff mountain slope.
