- Summary
- COI synopsis- Pausing in London, ‘Carrousel Britanico’ takes a look at the Mansion House, traditional home of the city’s Lord Mayor for 800 years. The beautiful and historic objects with which it is furnished are part of a tradition of fine workmanship which is still followed in the ancient crafts of the goldsmith and silversmith. Objects made of gold and silver in Britain today have to conform to strict standards before they are given the hallmark which certifies their quality. Some exquisite "objets d’art" are seen taking shape under the hands of modern craftsmen.
