- COI synopsis: The infra-red radiation reaching the Earth from the depths of space is providing a mass of information to aid research into the nature of the Universe and the energy it contains. Professor Ring of Imperial College London has recently set up an infra-red telescope in the Canary Islands, and in an interview he talks about the nature and scope of this new window on the Universe.
