- Summary
- COI synopsis: London’s Pearlies descend on the Palace of Westminster to celebrate 100 years of service to charity with music, song and dance. The Pearlies are Londoners - born and bred - and it all started when, to raise money for charity, a street sweeper covered his second-hand dress suit with pearl buttons. Today, the costumes are priceless and as ostrich feathers and pearl buttons shimmer in the light of candelabras Mandy talks about their future.
