- Summary
- COI synopsis: An electronic knitting machine takes the clicking of needles a long way from the days of one plain, one purl... Fairisle sweaters are a mere limbering-up exercise. But the designers of knitting patterns are finding that the machine is knitting the designs faster than they can prepare them, so a computer has been given an "eye" and programmed to turn a pattern painted on a piece of paper into terms of stitches that the knitting machine can understand.
