- COI synopsis: Through the eyes of North Carolina’s Dick Baker who has won a Rhodes Scholarship at Oxford, American visitors, Joan and Julius Evans, discover the distinctive features of the tutorial system in British univerisites. They chat informally with a ‘scout’ who has been taking care of the undergraduates on his stairwell for over fifty years and at Rhodes House they meet Brigadier Williams, Chief of Intelligence for Field-Marshal Montgomery, and now the warden of Rhodes House.
