- Summary
- COI synopsis: Is there such a thing as a typical housewife? Joan and Julius Evans, visitors from the United States, meet Angela Parris from Eastcote, Middlesex. Her husband is in the advertising business and they have two children, both boys. They find in Angela a housewife who actually likes housework and sincerely believes that a wifes’ place is in the home, caring for her husband and children. Joan and Julius learn a lot about the women’s view of life in Britain - how the National Health Service works, why British ‘public’ schools are really ‘private’ schools and how British families manage their income.
