NoS Summary - Women and men at work in a mint, making American money.
British Pathe synopsis: Introductory title reads: "Most men believe this impossible, but as a matter of fact, Uncle Sam’s daughters have been making money for years - on paper. Adam starts the business." C/U of man looking at an engraved piece of shiny metal. He works on it with tweezers, looking through a magnifying glass. C/U of a man at work on a press. Presumably printing bank notes. Shot of a piece of machinery in action. High angle long shot of a factory floor with lots of women at work. High angle shot of men at work on presses. High angle shot of a woman at work on a machine through which she feed sheets of printed banknotes. Top shot of other women at work, they seem to be checking the notes. C/U of the money (one dollar notes) passing through a machine. Top shot of women at work by the machine. They check the notes. L/S of women at work with piles of banknote sheets. They check them. C/U of a woman turning over sheets of printed notes. "In this work, Eve’s light touch scores - (Where’s the cynic who said Eve always was a good "toucher"?)" C/U of women counting or checking money.
