British Pathe synopsis: High angle L/S of a small island. Aerial shot of the island - uninhabited by humans it seems. "This island is only 200 miles from Melbourne, but the seal family is in active possession." High angle shot of many many seals on the rocks. They jump around the rocks and into the sea. High angle shot of seals swimming in the sea. "The seals would like visitors to come in the water to play." C/Us of seals swimming and playing in the water. C/U of a baby seal lying on a rock. A man tries to stroke him. Man holds seal around the neck, the seal cries out. M/S of seals jumping in the water and swimming out to sea. The seal’s near neighbours - penguins - are shown.
