- NoS Summary - Women cross country running, flying a plane, walking to work etc.
NoS synopsis: "The breed of Spartans didn’t die when the old Empire fell. They are with us today in the shape of Eve. In the streets" Low angle shot of women’s legs as they walk out of a building. High angle shot of lots and lots of commuters walking to work across a bridge. Buses and a horse and cart also seen. "Out in the country, where the girls turn out for cross-country runs." M/S of group of girls in sports wear (shorts and jumpers) standing with linked arms laughing and joking. C/U of their legs as they run on the spot. M/S of the girls as they set off on a run. Low angle shot of their legs as they jump over the camera. L/Ss of them running across a bridge, down a hill, along a riverbank, etc. "Or sailing through the air - emulating Adam." L/S of a glider approaching the camera. C/U of the woman aviator who had been flying the plane. "The beach habit freed Eve from the tyranny of over-clad days." L/S of woman leaning over backwards into a "crab" on a beach - other people paddle in the sea. "And the Spartan girls of today carry on the good work." We see the girls continuing on their cross country run. Various shots of them running along. They run through a river. - Researcher Comments
