Summary
NoS Summary - scenes from the International Horse Show at Olympia.
British Pathe synopsis - "Motorcars have not driven from Eve her love for a four-footed friend." M/S of a smartly dressed woman sitting in a pony and trap. Other shots of women sitting in their horse drawn vehicles. "Every year the great International Horse Show draws the cream of feminine followers of the hunt to Olympia." High angle shot of the show ground from the stand. Spectators are seen as the horse and trap event takes place. A woman in hunting outfit rides a very smart horse around the ring. "The younger "set", too, are not far behind." M/S of child sitting on the back of a white pony. Various shots of young riders and their mounts. Woman in top hat and black jacket sits on a horse side-saddle. Man standing by her side tips his top hat to someone. Women ride out into the show ring. They ride around the ring (they are all dressed in black with black top hats). Various shots of the competition. "But, for something really striking we must go back to the ‘60s. (Now you can tell where those hats came from!)" M/S of three women dressed in outfits from the 1860s. Low angle shot of group of people in old fashioned dress sit on top of an old carriage. Various shots of people in antique clothing. High angle shot of the horse and carriage event.
