Summary
British Pathe synopsis: "Strange to relate, one of the sights of Copenhagen is the fish market, in its way unique" M/S of people standing at market stalls. A boy stands with hand on hips in the foreground and looks at the camera. Closer shot of women wearing headscarves bending over baskets of fish. "It isn’t the way they give things a weight that’s peculiar" C/U of fish lying on a flat basket. Woman holds up a fish attached to a little weighing device. "It’s their catch-as-catch-can style of keeping their catches "All alive-oh!" in small sieve-like boats" L/S of these unusual boats in the harbour. Man uses a net to lift some of the fish out of one of the boats. Various shots of the boats and fishermen. High angle shot of fish being lifted out. "And sometimes a stranger loses his way" M/S of a man walking along the quayside with a dolphin or other porpoise balanced on his shoulder. C/U of the man holding the dolphin.
