- NoS synopsis: The work of Cowdenbeath Central Workshops in Scotland which employs 750 men and serves forty collieries. The workshops provide overhaul, repair and engineering facilities to the collieries. They also have a ‘flying squad’ to ensure that repairs can be done on-site, if possible.
