- Summary
- NoS Summary - A profile of the new Ruislip depot at the end of the Central Line Greenford extension.
NoS synopsis: The ceremony opening the West Ruislip branch of the Central Line at the end of 1948. We see a supply train following the first passenger train to Ruislip, going to the Ruislip depot. The depot is longer than Wood Lane so that it can accomodate the new longer trains. We are shown the maintenance pits and the new crane, all of which aim to continue the goal of London Transport - ‘Easier and quicker travel’. - Keywords
