- Rhodesian Spotlight synopsis: The new Estcourt Palmer Bridge is opened between Umtali and Inyanga.
Rhodesian Spotlight Commentary - Mr G. Ellman Brown, Minister of Roads accepts a new bridge over the Oiyani River from the contractors. It is named after Mr Estcourt Palmer, son of a pioneer in the Eastern Districts, and is opened by his wife. The new Estcourt Palmer Bridge is on the road from Umtali to Inyanga and makes for easier year-round access to a popular holiday resort. - Keywords
