- Summary
- Rhodesian Spotlight synopsis: The US All Stars beat Southern Rhodesia 9 -2 in Salisbury.
Rhodesian Spotlight Commentary - His Excellency the Governor of Southern Rhodesia is introduced to both teams when the USA All Stars play Southern Rhodesia in Salisbury. The Americans are a very fine combination and Pete Walshe’s pitching had Ken Wood completely at sea. Far and away the most successful Rhodesian to face this battery was Alf Fivifovics. But most batsmen if they connected were put out at first.
The Americans won by 9 runs to 2. Don Thompson was pegged on the home plate otherwise the winning margin would have been greater. But at any rate Rhodesians were glad to see really fine baseball team in action. - Keywords
