MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Akron Test Ends in Tragedy. DESCRIPTION: Sailors drop to death while mooring giant ‘US Navy’ dirigible on first trip to Pacific Coast. SHOTLIST: Aerial shot of the "Akron" in the air. In the clouds. Comes low over field and aerial shot of sailors dropping from same holding onto mooring ropes. Shot of four being pulled up into air again after the "Akron" breaking loose. Three are pulled to safety and one drops. Aerial view of the ship. Shot from belly of ship of sailor hanging onto one of the ropes. Sailor pulled to safety and CU speaking.
