Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Political Wheels Begin Moving Again. DESCRIPTION: Premier lunches with King; Mr Gandhi in Downing Street; new members at House for swearing-in. SHOTLIST: Gandhi leaving No 10. Crowds in Downing Street. Car drives off. Mr MacDonald leaving No 10 for Buckingham Palace. Car entered. Car leaves gates of the Palace and arrives at Parliament. He enters the gates of same. Pan down from Big Ben to the Gates of the House. Taxi arriving at gates and Mr Baldwin alighting. Sir Herbert Samuel arrives. Other members walk past the police into the forecourt. Other members arrive including Mr Jack Jones, member for Silvertown. NB Arrival at the House for the election of Captain Fitzroy for speaker mentioned in the commentary. Nothing is seen of this personality.
