Summary
Oxford - challengers - take the water, and having won the toss, take the Surrey side. Cambridge - strong favourites - quickly follow. 1.44 pm. They’re off! 1.51 pm. A "ding-dong" battle ensued to Hammersmith, Dark Blues shooting the bridge half a length ahead. 2.04 pm. Mortlake. Cambridge "come home alone" winning easily by three lengths. Well rowed, Cambridge!
