Summary
Large convoy of merchant and escort ships in the Mediterranean en route to Malta. The aircraft carrier HMS Eagle having been torpedoed and sunk early in the action, survivors are seen coming ashore. Some queuing for their pay in order that they can have some shore leave after their ordeal. The battle of the convoy continues through the night and exhausted gun crews snatch rest whenever they can. The convoy eventually reaches Malta and Rear Admiral Burroughs comes aboard "Nelson" for talks with Vice Admiral Syprit (?), and on board one of the other ships a service takes place in thanks for a safe deliverance.
