- Summary
- Tribute is paid to the RAF and allied air forces for their operations which have crippled the Luftwaffe in the western desert. They constantly move on to ‘dromes which have been captured. Air Chief Marshal Sir Arthur Tedder who has been AOC in C of the RAF in the Middle East has been appointed Vice-Chief of the Air Staff in England. Air Vice Marshal Coningham in his capacity as AOC Western Desert, has commanded operations in the field. The plane they use is a captured German Fieseler-Storch (or "Grasshopper").
