Summary
King and Queen visiting a school in Newcastle and receiving welcome from the children. Then on to see a display by Civil Defence Services in St James’s Park. Arriving in South Shields they once again inspect Civil Defence Services and see ruins of a bombed church. At Durham they visit the Cathedral.
