Features reminiscences by famous actors who have played there: James Dale, who played Claudius in 1916; Sebastian Shaw who played the first ‘cinema season’ in 1926 after the Memorial Theatre burned down; Fabia Drake, a leading lady of the early 1930s; Anthony Quayle, director of the 1950s; Peggy Ashcroft; Roger Rees, Stratford’s 1985 Hamlet. Includes music from RSC productions written by Guy Woolfenden, Nigel Hess and Stephen Oliver.
