Synopsis
A Mercury Text Record, a series designed to contribute to the developing interest in audiovisual media in teaching Shakespeare. Welles wrote and recorded a prologue to the play which is a conversation between Richard Burbage (Welles) and Shakespeare (George Colouris) about the imagined origins of the play. Welles adds an epilogue and includes comments from critics and playgoers including Jack Manningham and George Brandes. The printed transcript of the play (revised Harper edition) contained over 50 footnotes by Welles.

The CD is packaged with extracts from Julius Caesar and Fun With Mr Shakespeare with George Coulouris and Romney Brent. the scenes from Twelfth Night are II i, II ii, II iii, III i, III ii, IV i, IV ii, V i. Epilogue.
