Shakespearean Baseball Game, The
- Synopsis
- The Canadian comedy duo Frank Wayne and Johnny Shuster parody a number of Shakespeare plays including Hamlet, Macbeth, Julius Caesar and Richard III in the form of a baseball game. First performed on television in 1958, the beginning of the sketch states ‘Bosworth Field - A Baseball Stadium near Stratford’ [Ontario]. The dialogue is written and performed in a version of blank verse.
