King Henry IV. Part 1
- Synopsis
- Excerpts of the play, taken from Anthony Quayle’s well-received Stratford production (1951), were shown as part of the BBC’s For the Children slot. The broadcast was never recorded, but according to Michael Brooke (BFI screenonline), it seems likely, given the 45-minute slot (shared with another short item) and a cast list restricted to Falstaff, Hal, Bardolph, Poins, Gadshill and two travellers, that it consisted of scenes from Act II, and possibly Act I.
