- Synopsis
- Feature film based on Othello. Set against the background of the Theyyam festival in North Kerala. Kannan Perumalayn and Thamara, the daughter of the village head, fall in love and elope, Thamara defying her father and community in doing so. Paniyan is envious and suggests to Kannan that Thamar is having an affair with his assistant, Kanthan. Torn between anger and grief at what he believes to be Thamara’s betrayal, Kannan takes his own life.
