Synopsis
Feature film. An early comedy in the CARRY ON cycle featuring Ted Ray as the headmaster of an undisciplined school. Includes an unruly performance of a school play, Romeo and Juliet, with unmelodic accompaniment from the school orchestra, which features the balcony scene (II ii) and the last scene. There is also a sequence in which an embarrassed teacher (Williams) attempts to answer questions from his class about why their text has been bowlderised, and another in which a teacher (Connors) woos a school inspector with quotations from the sonnets.
