- Radio programme. A 5-part series in which actors read from some of the works which were the literary sources for Shakespeare’s plays. Introduced by Dr Carol Rutter and abridged by Gordon House. In the fifth and final episode Prunella Scales reads from Arthur Brooke’s poem The Tragicall Historye of Romeus and Juliet (1562), Shakespeare’s main source for Romeo and Juliet.
