- Jack Gould, New York Times (13 March 1949, X13). The review praised the conception and execution of the production, proclaiming it to be ‘the most exciting television yet seen on the home screen - a magnificently bold, imaginative, and independent achievement’. Gould shrewdly noted that the televising ‘went to the heart of video’s needs, which is to make a picture, not to take one’.
