Synopsis
Feature film. In modern Venice and Verona a film company is making Romeo and Juliet. The stand-ins for the lead roles are Angelo, a young glassblower and Georgia, the daughter of a former Fascist official. They feel their own lives are mirrored in the parts they see in the film production. Georgia’s malevolent fiance tries to get gangsters to murder Angelo, and when this fails persuades Georgia’s family to kill him. The lovers die together on Juliet’s tomb in the film studio.
