- Synopsis
- Television documentary in which presenter Derek Hart looks at the variety of music inspired by Shakespeare’s work. A small group of actors enacts some of the scenes. Includes music by Hubert Parry, Herbert Howells, Thomas Arne, Elgar, Berlioz, Britten , Verdi, Vaughan Williams, Sibelius, Smetana, Gerhard and Walton. The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra is conducted by Brian Priestman.
