- Synopsis
- Television production of Sir Michael Tippett’s opera, with the London Sinfonietta conducted by Howard Williams. An austere work, in fragmented scenes, exploring the strained inter-relationships between the seven characters. Ultimately they discover an acceptance and reconciliation after the central figure, Mangus, suggests they perform a series of charades based on characters from The Tempest.
