General: Early in 1993 Ciaran Hinds took over from Simon Russell Beale as the posture Beale had been adopting while playing Richard had injured his back.

The costuming was all black and white, with a bare, minimal set.
History: Press night 11 August 1992. The production went to the Donmar, on a foreign tour, and returned to the Swan Theatre.
