Synopsis
Item from MONITOR, the television arts documentary series. A report on the new theatre built in Nottingham including the opening by Lord Snowdon. Features rehearsal footage of Tyrone Guthrie’s production of Coriolanus with the theatre’s director, John Neville, in the title role. Guthrie speaks briefly on the value of non-commercial theatre. There are interviews with the theatre’s architect Peter Moro and a city councillor.
