Now with Bill Moyers [26/04/2002]

Synopsis
News magazine series hosted by Bill Moyers. In the third of the five stories covered, Moyers interviews editor Herman Gollob whose memoir Me and Shakespeare: Adventures with the Bard details his lifelong passion for Shakespeare’s works. Gollob speaks of being forced to memorise passages from Shakespeare at the age on 10, learning the depths of human villainy from Shakespeare’s characters (his favourite villain is Richard III), why Texan accents are considered close to Elizabethan English, why he feels Shakespeare was a moralist and not a moraliser, and the most modern of Shakespeare figures, Lyndon B. Johnson.
