Beginner’s Luck

Synopsis
US comedy short series about the adventures of a group of poor neighbourhood children. Spanky is entered into a kid’s talent contest by his pushy mother who brags about Spanky’s ability to recite Shakespeare. Lines from Julius Caesar are chosen. Spanky’s friends are concerned that his theatrical efforts will deem him a sissy and so plots to sabotage his performance by heckling and employing peashooters. he gets through a few lines of the ‘Friends, Romans and Countrymen’ speech while defending himself from a barrage of peas.
